On January 15th,the Veerni Institute celebrated Indian Republic Day.Veerni staff and the girls of classes 9 to 12 attended the event. Republic Day celebrations take place with patriotic fervor in the Veerni Institute as the Veerni girls learn about India’s political history, freedom struggle and the Constitution as a part of their curriculum. They learn how the population has fought to attain freedom and make India a sovereign state. Therefore, the girls feel inspired and participate actively in the Republic Day ceremony and celebration. The National Flag was raised by the Veerni staff, and the girls joined together in the singing of the National Anthem. The National Pledge which is an oath of allegiance to the Republic of India was recited by all to mark the occasion.
